Excellent book.
I read it.
I found it so depressing. I know it may be how things were but I prefer stories that uplift the spirit.
I am reading The Power of One right now. It takes place in Apartheid Africa. There is much wrong with that society but the author chose instead to focus on the good that this one could do and does.
I don't mean to belittle your opinion. I am glad you feel it's a good book. It is a book all should read.
